Pilot Falcon with flexible nib

It arrived.
It's got gorgeous laquer.
But... The nib and I really don't like each other.

I just don't get on with it at all... Which is weird because my vintage sheaffer with it's semi-flexible nib is just as fine and just as flexible!

Fortunately, the Mrs has saved me the hassle of boxing it up and returning it to Cult Pens for a refund / exchange... She tried it, loves it and has snaffled it! It's now been inked with Diamine Syrah and she's busy using it in one of her journals; proclaiming it to be "a superb pen, and a wonderful writer".

I've been promised a custom ground Stub nib for my Pelikan M800 by way of exchange in the near future, so all for the best, eh? :-)

time flies...

February already?

Mea culpa! I've added a new pen to the collection at the weekend, so just waiting for it to arrive. It's a burgundy metal bodied Pilot Falcon with it's "flexible nib" in "Soft Fine" as Pilot call it, so I'll post a review and writing sample here when it arrives.

It'll write ranging from a Fine to a Broad line depending on pressure on the nib and reviews on FPN say that the "Soft Fine" gives very good line width variations.

This'll be fun! Can't wait for it to arrive!
